Village Playback Theatre: What's Your Story?
Village Playback Theatre is an innovative company dedicated to telling the stories of people who struggle to be heard. For over a decade, we have listened to audience members' personal stories and crafted them into improvised performances that make a powerful impact on both the tellers and their communities.
We perform on location: in hospitals and schools, community centers and senior centers, day treatment programs and prisons. No matter the setting, seeing a story "played back" can bring a tremendous sense of validation and belonging.
This public performance is your chance to experience playback theatre for yourself. Don't miss it!
Playback Theatre is a form that draws from improvisation and traditional storytelling. Created in 1975 in the United States, it is now practiced around the world in over 50 countries.
We want to know: WHAT'S YOUR STORY?
