#WomenCrush Music Presents: Jessa Campbell's EP Release/Ashley Xtina's Last Show
#WomenCrush Music is proud to present another full-night of women songwriters at one of Portland's best-sounding venues, The Old Church! This show is particularly special because there will be double headliners - one, Jessa Campbell, who is embarking on a brand new journey with the release of an EP and the other, Ashley Xtina, is saying farewell to a stage name that has been a part of her life for 5 years.
Opening up the night will be singer/songwriter Maiah Wynne & jazz-rock vocalist Rachel Brashear & her trio.
Both Ashley Xtina & Jessa Campbell will be supporting Herbal Medics (an organization that brings natural medicine to underserved communities), with their performances. Throughout the evening in between performers, there will be mini sound-healing workshops, medicine-making and more! Part of the proceeds from Jessa's EP & ticket sales of the night will be donated to the organization.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
MAIAH WYNNE: A butterfly, an explosion of ideas, a hopeful giver. Maiah Wynne strives to bring something new to table & make a difference with every song she puts out into the world. Her vocal stylings are often compared to the likes of Birdy, Fiona Apple and Florence Welch, and her songwriting is often inspired by stories no one tends to talk about but need to be heard. To keep up with Maiah, follow her at www.maiahwynne.com .
RACHEL BRASHEAR: Often described as "American Gothic meets American Songbook", Rachel's jazz-inspired melodies take you to another era, while her lyrics remind you of the present. Listen to her at www.rachelbrashear.com.
ASHLEY XTINA: Hailing from Queens, NY, Ashley Xtina, who now resides in Portland, OR. is a singer/songwriter who pens honest and edgy lyrics, catchy pop melodies and has a voice that has often been compared female powerhouses such as Adele, Kelly Clarkson and Joss Stone. 2017 marks the end of her journey sitting solely behind a keyboard but will not be the end of her music career. www.soundcloud.com/ashleyxtinamusic
JESSA CAMPBELL: Back in 2015, Jessa Campbell released her debut album Persephone Dreams. The well received record gained plaudits for its blending of folk, pop and what she describes as, harmonic & melodic lines influenced by Hildegard Von Bingen and the Cascadian Bioregion. Since that release, Jessa has taken a break from her musical career to have her child, Cedar. Her new EP "Great Grey Owl" will feature songs written during her pregnancy and during the first year of Cedar's life. http://www.jessacampbellmusic.com/
