Independent Music Festival
On Friday August 25th, Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane, struck Texas with torrential rain and devastating winds. It is reported to be the strongest hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico since 2005. Also On Wednesday, September 6, Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 hurricane, struck the northern Lesser Antilles before continuing across the Caribbean and up the coast of Florida, leaving catastrophic damage in its wake.

As the storm passes, the need for aid has become clear. There are several charities on the ground working with local partners to provide much needed relief in the affected cities. You can help by donating to the Independent Music Festival which will support one of the many trusted charities working to provide relief to the thousands of people that have been impacted by this devastating natural disaster.

We at MTA/MECAP understand every organization uses donations they receive differently; so when we choose a charity to support, we read their mission statement and visit their website to understand how gifts to them will be used.

Your donation will be made to American Red Cross, an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) public charity (Federal Tax ID: 53-0196605.). MTA/MECAP will be the charity of record and will provide the donation receipt for your gift. MTA/MECAP covers all transaction costs for donations made on this site, ensuring that 100% of each gift made is available to charity. We verify that charities receiving grants from MTA/MECAP have tax-exempt status with the IRS and are not on recognized economic sanctions lists. Charities will typically receive funds in their accounts within 15 to 45 days after receipt of a donation.

Our goal is to take aspiring independent artists from all over Central Indiana, California, New Jersey, New York, Atlanta and Illinois and progressively direct them on the right path to achieving their dreams. Whether they actors, actresses, singers, models or filmmakers. With your
