Runnin' Down the Mountain, presented by NEW NOISE
'Runnin' Down the Mountain' is the story of Everett and Margaret Riddle, a brother and sister, grown and living alone on their family's orchard in the Great Smoky Mountains. Everett stays up late nights, rebuilding a cassette tape made of Momma that was broken years ago. Margaret buries her head in the encyclopedia and dreams of running away to attend college. This innovative new performance mixes original and traditional music, live looping and soundscapes with NEW NOISE's own brand of visual storytelling to ask why we hand down what we do and why we're raised to leave.
