Introduction to Officer Resiliency
This four-hour course serves as an introduction to the development of resilience in first responders. Using a model involving the concepts of Domains (mental, physical, social, spiritual) and Tenets (to include awareness, decision making, social support and communication) that has been developed by subject matter experts with the FBINAA in collaboration with the US Air Force, this course will bring the participant to a higher level of ability to withstand, recover and grow in the face of stressors and changing demands.
At the end of this course, participants will be invited to participate in a three-day train-the-trainer program that will serve to develop public safety instructors who can bring this dynamic interactive training program back to their agency and incorporate a philosophy of resiliency within their agencys culture.
The event is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and lunch is included!
