Elvira Kurt is one of Canadas most accomplished comedians, individually as a stand-up and also as an improviser with The Second City, enjoying many years of comedic success in both Canada and the U.S. Elvira has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and her comedy specials have aired on Comedy Central, HBO, Showtime, CTV, CBC and The Comedy Network.

Voted Funniest Female Comic at the Canadian Comedy Awards, Elvira recently hosted two hit shows on the LOGO Network, First Comes Love, and Cruising the Caribbean with Olivia. She just added another Gemini-nomination to the list for her performance in the CBCs Halifax Comedy Special and her previous nomination for the one-hour comedy special Elvira Kurt: Big Girl Now nabbed the Gold Award at the Worldfest International Film Festival. She wrote, hosted and produced a full 78 episodes of the nightly hit show, PopCultured with Elvira Kurt for The Comedy Network and continues to be in high demand on television networks in Canada and the U.S.

One of North Americas hottest college acts, Elvira Kurt has been nominated as both U.S. College Comedian and Entertainer of the Year. Elvira is in the midst of co-producing an all female comedy tour called Girls School which will be filmed and is already a huge success, being voted one the top comedy in shows in Toronto last year.
