Z.E.D. Productions Presents "A House Full of Friends" Live Album Release Fundraiser & Concert
Z.E.D. Productions presents "Garrick Davis World Blues in a special fundraising concert event to complete A House Full of Friends live album and video documentary Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Club Fox in downtown Redwood City, located at 2209 Broadway Street. Doors open at 5pm for this early evening show. The show begins at 6pm. Club Fox is 21 & over only. Garrick Davis World Bluesis led by the guitarist/singer/songwriter and features a core of musicians of varied backgrounds, ages and cultures playing instruments normally used in Blues and Rock but at times the song performances will be augmented by the Kora(African harp) and Tabla drums from India. With the bandleaders guitar performance at the center of the instrumental mix, it is Daviss dynamic, vocal style, inspired by a Blues heritage that narrate the moving lyrical messages found within his original songs and masterful interpretations.
Joining Garrick onstage at this special Sunday evening show include longtime associates Tony Stead(organ), Leah Tysse(vocalist), Zach Davis(keys, vocals, son), AJ Joyce(electric bass), Grant Slam Walthall(drums), D. Edward(percussion), Daniel Berkman(kora, handsonic), Tanmay Bichu(tabla drums) and, for the first time, trombonist Mike Rinta.
The revolving musician format of the World Blues concert was born when Davis felt a desire to focus on bringing out the best in each song for the ambitious October 2016 House Full of Friends concert that was recorded for the 11-track live album and video documentary project this concerts proceeds will serve to complete. The format creates a refreshing dynamic flow for the live experience, as the audience will witness various ensembles performing electric or acoustic-based mini-sets to authenticate the spectrum of music genres Davis is inspired by.
The ambitious House Full of Friends concert was recorded for a new Live album and video documentary. The 11 tracks chosen for the CD are mixed, however the collection still needs to be mastered for optimum audio quality across various listening platforms.
Proceeds from a successful event will finish the House Full of Friends album project which includes mastering, manufacturing of CDs(maybe vinyl) and completing the video documentary of the House Full of Friends October 2016 concert. This live project will ultimately serve as a booking tool for domestic and international venues and festivals. In all, this is an effort to move forward with clear evidence as to why its worth the push. Collaboration is Davis key goal to achieve continuous growth as an artist, in business, for the livelihood of other musicians and to find an audience for this music called World Blues.
