Woodworking on the Waterfront
Learn all the tools in the shop and basics of carpentry and furniture making! No prior woodworking experience necessary!
Join the Alexandria Seaport Foundation and Habitat Woodworks in this continuous Wednesday evening carpentry class with rolling registration. Whether you are a novice or just want to learn and practice a new technique, this class offers close guidance and instruction to a project that you design and bring to the shop. Students can design a project on their own or with the instructor.
The Woodworking Class is taught by Nicole Reidinger, ASF's Middle School Woodworking teacher and owner of Habitat Woodworks. Nicole not only teaches all ages to make beautiful and inspired woodworks, but also makes and sells her own line of wooden home goods and custom furniture. She welcomes all skill levels into her class and all types of project designs and ideas.
This class will run on every Wednesday at the Seaport Center in Old Town Alexandria. If this is your first class, you will be required to attend 1 hour early (5:30 pm) to take the introductory workshop to learn the safety rules and use of each tool before regular class begins.
Class payment options:
1 class: $60
5 classes: $250 ($50 per class)
10 classes: $400 ($40 per class)
Please choose the date you would like to start the class and then the number of classes you would like to take as your ticket option. If you have to skip some classes following the original start date, that is more than welcome; you will still be able to use your total number of classes purchased.
Do not choose more than 1 for "Quantity" of tickets unless you are registering multiple students!
If you have questions, please contact Nicole Reidinger at firstname.lastname@example.org.
