The naval signal, Bravo Zulu, is used to communicate recognition of a job well done. We thought it a fitting name for our first ever Baltic Porter, which puts the finishing touch on a very successful 2017 Barrel Roll year. Never satisfied with good enough, this latest creation further expands the decorated portfolio of our Barrel Roll program. Brewed as a traditional Baltic Porter, characteristic rich dark fruit, toffee, and caramel flavors compose the backbone of this robust, roasty dark ale. After a sufficient eight months spent in bourbon and brandy barrels, Bravo Zulu is rounded out with notes of vanilla and mocha. The perfect beer to toast success and accomplishment.
SIERRA HOTEL - Limit 1

Sierra Hotel serves as a favorite expression among pilots to convey high praise. Its phonetical acronym meaning makes it the natural choice to name this distinct Bravo Zulu variant. With the inspiration of Mexican drinking chocolate, we set out to completely transform our barrel aged Baltic Porter. After first selecting a choice barrel of both bourbon and brandy, deemed worthy of the special attention, perfect ratios of adjunct ingredients were methodically added. Guatemalan cacao nibs and caramelized raisins accentuate the beers rich body, while cinnamon and Chipotle peppers impart a pleasant smoky feature and balanced spicy heat, deserving of its name.

The Barrel Roll Membership Club is home to beer lovers from all over. When asked for their best Baltic Porter variant ideas, one winning suggestion could not go unrecognized. Polish Breakfast is our wonderfully decadent, member-inspired Bravo Zulu variant. Reserved bourbon and brandy barrels were loaded with vanilla bean and maple syrup, creating to an exceptionally smooth bodied, rich breakfast porter. Pugachevs Cobra bourbon barrel aged coffee beans from local roaster, Augies Coffee, capped off the barrel additions, providing a one-of-a-kind coffee characteristic. Enjoy Polish Breakfast fresh to experience its full flavor profile, or follow as it mellows with time cellared.
GOLDEN BLOOM - Limit 3 - Guaranteed

Motivated by Californias drastic transformation from drought to super bloom, we sought to create as stark a contrast across the spectrum of our Barrel Roll series, with the same wild end in mind. Golden Bloom, our first farmhouse Saison fermented with Brettanomyces, is the funky product of that endeavor. Utilizing two separate yeast strains, the base underwent parallel fermentation between white wine barrels and stainless steel vessel, before being blended together for further maturation. The resulting golden, straw colored ale offers aromas of pineapple, white grape and clove, combining with notes of peppercorn and a restrained Brett funk. While this beer is ready to enjoy now, it will continue developing in the bottle for years to come.
RASPBERRY BLOOM - Limit 2 - Guaranteed

Upon discovering the wonderfully bright, fruity funk that Golden Bloom developed, the natural first step in the exploration into this Brett Saisons capabilities, was to combine it with a famously complimentary fruit. We racked the beer back into white wine barrels, where it was refermented with significant additions of raspberries. This ruby-colored, effervescent Saison boasts a strong berry aroma supported by that unique Brettanomyces funk. The first sip brings more of the same, with a lightly tart raspberry bite and dry finish. Enjoy Raspberry Bloom now, or let it continue to develop over time.
Mango Bloom Limit 1

Mango Bloom is the next installment in the exploration into our bright, funky Saison. Our base beer, Golden Bloom, made its way back into white wine barrels, where it was blended with fresh, pureed mangos. The characteristics Brettanomyces added to this variant during refermentation truly set it apart. Finished with a dry hopping of Nelson Sauvin hops, Mango Bloom greets you with a bouquet of white wine grapes, berry and tropical fruit, intertwined with a deeper Brett funk than its predecessors. On the palate, mango makes its way to the forefront accompanied by pineapple and subtle strawberry notes. Already undeniably unique, this Brett Saison is poised to develop even further over time spent in the bottle
