Oracles and Oils
Join Barbe Saint John (Certified Medium & Spiritual Advisor) and Melissa Hale (Perfumer Extraordinaire) in this fun collaborative class of creating your own Oracle cards and a personal spiritual oil. Oracle cards are a great way to tap into your intuition and Higher Self to receive guidance and wisdom for your own life's path or to help others with theirs. Using cards that you have made yourself are even more powerful since they are infused with your own creative energy and personal symbolism!
No artistic abilities required! You'll be provided with all the materials needed to start creating your very own deck, and extra blanks to continue creating at home.
In the first part of our class, Barbe will discuss symbolism, common categories of the cards in a deck and how to get inspiration and nurture your own creativity. Then we start creating! We will all work with a standard card shape but we will discuss different shapes, sizes, and themes-the possibilities are endless!!! Well create 10+ cards during our class time, then use our decks then give practice readings with our classmates.
Following our card creating, we shift our focus of the workshop as Melissa guides us through creating our personal spiritual oil. Well gather and talk about essential oils and their spiritual properties. Everyone will craft one 10ml bottle of spiritual oil to use for intention and to compliment your Oracle cards. The oils on the bench will be 100% essential oils, and they will be diluted in a base of fractionated coconut oil. There will also be a variety of dried herbs on the bench so that you can infuse your ritual oil to increase the spiritual properties. Once your spiritual oil is complete, youll pick a crystal to compliment your personal blend. Guided and written instructions will be available throughout the workshop.
All supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own scissors, collage sheets, magazine images, rubber stamps/ink, rub on decals, stickers, etc to personalize your deck. Please note: since paint takes time to dry, we wont be using it in this workshop.
Tea, water, snacks, and wine will also be available. Outside beverages are always welcomed.
