The Visual Voice Arts Exhibit w/Madafi & Boo Boo Cousins Performing Live
The Visual Voice is a day long event where the visual arts meets the performing arts. Three outstanding visualists will present their original works of art while musicians, vocalists and spoken word poets will spin song, imagery and emotion. The featured artists are Photographer Jim Collier, Painter Jim Edmonds and Mixed-media Artist, C. Bangs. A performance showcase of music and spoken word which adds another dynamic dimension to the program will be hosted by community Poet, Alkamal. The lineup of performers include soulful vocalist Madafi Pierre and musician/singer Boo Boo Cousins. Both will offer up acoustic unplugged performances of their original compositions. Spoken word poets Toni Mitchelson, Definition and Makeela will each perform rousing interpretations of their works while independent authors from the Louis Reyes Rivera Writer's Workshop will read selected excerpts from their published books.
The event is free and open to the public of all ages.
