C-Street Mardi Gras
Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!Springfield announces its 3rd Annual Mardi Gras on Historic C-Street! This event, with live entertainment at 6 indoor Venues, has proven to be one of the most popular Festivals in the region. Offering a unique and eclectic array of performances, ranging from titillating vaudeville and burlesque, to well-known regional musical acts, this event promises to entertain in the spirit of New Orleans!
Participating venues:
Lindberg's Tavern - the oldest bar in Springfield, offering up the classy and brassy Cherry Bomb Burlesque, as well as the Queen City Showgirls - a riotous and risque Drag show!
The Savoy Ballroom - St. Louis troupe Menage a Trois will serve up their frisky and fascinating blend of burlesque, bellydance, and circus tricks, featuring the talents of Ami Amore, Peter Peculiar, and Whiskey Kiss!
Club Alchemy - Dance the night away at Alchemy with DJC and our Glamourous Go-Go Dancers! There may be glitter.
LemonDrop Gallery - Head to toe Paint? Yes! At LemonDrop, you will witness a bevy of semi-nude beauties being painted in the colors of Mardi Gras. A New Orleans carnival tradition, body-painting by our local artists will intrigue and delight the senses!
Q Enoteca Wine Bar- Local band Brookline Station covers a variety of modern tunes from the likes of Foster the People and MGMT! Open to your requests, this interactive band will make your Mardi Gras one to remember!
Ruthies Bar - One of Springfield's most fun dive bars! Everyone loves Karaoke and DJ Little Dog will help embarrass you in front of all of your friends. Hey - you never know when a talent scout will be watching, right?
Legal Mumbo-Jumbo: This event is for ages 18 and up, as alcohol will be available at all 6 venues. You WILL be carded, so don't forget a photo ID.If you are under 21, your hands will be marked with an M. Alchemy, LemonDrop, and the Savoy Ballroom are 18 and up. Lindberg's, Ruthies, and Q Enoteca are 21 and up only. Mardi Gras on C-Street and its participating venues and their owners/employees assume no liability for personal injury, loss of property or toes, and damage to vehicles. Please do not drink and drive.
Present vouchers/tickets to the window on the front of the Ticket Booth located at the C-Street Market Pavilion on Jefferson and Commercial beginning at 7:00 PM the evening of February 9th, 2013. Your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband after we confirm your purchase and age. TICKETS ARE ONLY REDEEMABLE AT THE TICKET BOOTH. They will not be accepted at individual venues, and you will be directed to the Ticket Booth if you present them at the door.
If you are purchasing multiple tickets, all persons receiving said tickets must be present at the time of redemption to have their ID confirmed.
