Synopsis: The Popup Chair is an interactive theatre project that stimulates audiences' imagination using inanimate objects. TPC presents a three-part exploration of Arthur Koestler's Bisocation Theory on the anatomy of Creativity, it's erection (teehee), and most importantly, it's ability to be learned.
Artist Information: The Popup Chair is a multi-media art production company that centers around a blow-up chair.

Anchored by Arthur Koestler's Bisociation Theory, The Popup Chair believes that inner genius and creativity come from the practice of imagining, recreating, confusing, and combining your environment and the way you view it.

About FailSafe Festival 2017: FailSafe Festival 2017 is a five-day festival of live performance, taking place in the Times Square/Hell's Kitchen area of New York City. FailSafe Festival 2017 provides a space for artists to push beyond what they consider "safe" to present, giving them an opportunity to show work that may not have a home elsewhere.
