Bios:
Amory B. Lovins
, a consultant, experimental physicist and 1993 MacArthur Fellow, has been active at the nexus of energy, resources, environment, development, and security in more than 50 countries for 35 years, including 14 years based in England. He is widely considered among the world's leading authorities on energyespecially its efficient use and sustainable supplyand a fertile innovator in integrative design.
After two years at Harvard, Mr. Lovins transferred to Oxford and two years later became a don at 21, receiving in consequence an Oxford MA by Special Resolution (1971) and, later, 11 honorary doctorates of various U.S. and U.K. universities. He has been Regents' Lecturer at the University of California both in Energy and Resources and in Economics; Grauer Lecturer at UBC; Luce Visiting Professor at Dartmouth; Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Colorado; Oikos Visiting Professor of Business, University of St. Gallen; an engineering visiting professor at Peking University; and 2007 MAP/Ming Professor at Stanford's School of Engineering. www.rmi.org

Eva Regnier is Associate Professor of Decision Science in the Defense Resources Management Institute at the Naval Postgraduate School. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and a M.S. in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research is in decision making under uncertainty, with a focus on characterizing environmental uncertainty to support both optimization and judgmental decision making.
Dr. Regnier has studied the value of weather forecasts in making evacuation and other decisions and has worked on energy and natural resources decisions for over ten years. Her recent work on energy issues in the Department of Defense includes developing methods to estimate the system-wide impacts of battlefield energy use in forward positions and methods to estimate the value of technology demonstration projects in informing and improving future use of developing technologies. Her work has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research.

Jay Friedland - Legislative Director, Plug In America. Jay is managing partner of Cinemagic Partners Ltd, a consulting firm developing high technology ventures. A self-described serial entrepreneur, he has built successful companies as well as developing key industry alliances between companies both large and small.
