Giving Up Is Hard To Do, Written and Performed by Annie Abbott
Veteran Broadway, TV, and film actor Annie Abbott's solo show is directed by Joel Zwick (My Big Fat Greek Wedding). Her irreverent humor and passionate observations reveal an indomitable spirit - this is the coming of age tale of a funny woman unstoppable in the face of life's surprises. She looks for wisdom from disparate sources: a stranger on a plane, a bitter dating "expert", an eccentric plastic surgeon, her beloved dead immigrant grandmother, and even an imaginary Judge Judy. Abbott's straight-faced and impeccably timed delivery makes her inherently funny stories even funnier, and keeps the audience wondering what could possibly happen next.
Abbott's TV credits include Transparent, Perception, Californication, Castle, and X-Files. She is often recognized from her nine seasons on LA LAW as the irreverent Judge Janice Neiman.
