Pressure Cooker: Please Open Your Mouth PREVIEW

Join us for this exclusive and intimate preview designed to give friends, colleagues and family a first-look at the 2017 Pressure Cooker and give our staff a chance to rehearse with live guests.

We appreciate your willingness to indulge in our experimental and trial stages and value your patience and understanding that the show may evolve from preview night.

Preview night will include the full four-course dinner. Cocktails will be available for purchase a la carte.

Only a lucky few guests gain entrance to this infamous Seattle supper club, a clandestine, culinary orgy where members explore their wildest food taboos, fantasies and fetishes. Our 2nd annual Pressure Cooker, we hope you will join us for "Please Open Your Mouth" conceived and written by Joanna Garner and directed by Norah Elges. Seating is extremely limited, we suggest reserving your key to the club immediately.

Tonight, the charismatic Host (Lisa Viertel) and controlling Chef (Tim Gouran) celebrate the anniversary of the club and their relationship with a series of particularly unexpected dinner courses. An immersive theatrical dining experience. Come hungry.

What is the Pressure Cooker, you ask? This annual 5 performance run exists to give emerging local artists the opportunity to work in the Nordo playground with a limited budget and time constraints. The Pressure Cooker invests in the innovation of producers, writers, and directors, cultivating new work that bends the genres of dinner theatre and performance, and pushes the limits of experimental theatre. We provide rehearsal time, feedback sessions, stage construction aid, marketing assistance, menu development, and one week of unfettered access to Nordos Culinarium and staff for tech and performances.
