About TWAIN TWAIN is a hip-hop recording artist from Chicago, by way of Minneapolis. Recording and performing for over a decade, he relocated to the Twin Cities in the early 2000s and continued expression of this art form that he loves, and contributing to the hip-hop culture and beyond. He has released a slew of underground mixtapes and albums that display his style: a hodge podge of trunk rattling rap bangers, introspective songs, and purist hip-hop records, all with the Midwest flavor as the cherry on top.
Recently he's released twin EPs: In 2014, THE COST OF LIVING(Ill County) & its acclaimed documentary, followed by THE GIFT OF DISCOVERY in 2016. Some of his live performances to date include the Fine Line Music Café, the historic Capri Theater, and the Minnesota Music Café. A Twin Cities Hip Hop Award nominee & 96.3 B96 Homegrown Featured Artist, this is now the 2nd year of his A NIGHT OVER SOUTH concert series. http://reverbnation.com/twainonline
About The Insomniac The Insomniac is a DJ, artist, writer, and future legend. She has played in the Twin Cities at many well-known venues such as First Avenue, Mill City Nights, Honey, and Rouge, to name a few. She is an experienced music provider who has done many different performances such as sporting events, club nights, opening acts, weddings, grand openings, and several types of business promotions.
She has always loved all types of music from R&B and Funk, to Alternative Rock, and even Chicago House and EDM. The Insomniac prides herself on providing quality sound; she wants to bring people together through dance, music, and the love of art. http://nosleepmpls.com
About Ria Olson Jazz Trio An award-winning writer and performer, Ria began composing piano pieces at age 8 and from there expanded her skills as a vocalist, percussionist, and dancer. She is known for her wide range of music from jazz to hip-hop to global Indian fusion.
She has toured with and opened for world renowned artists, including Simon Estes and Kid Ink. In 2016, she formed the Ria Olson Jazz Trio when relocating to Minneapolis. They perform throughout the Twin Cities delivering fresh and innovative music with a classic sound. http://riakaur.co
