Hypercoaster Music and Lodge at Lochside Wee Bear are really excited to be hosting an intimate gig with Edinburgh based duo The Jellymans Daughter. Emily Kelly and Graham Coe, have won critical and popular acclaim for the originality of their songwriting - a fusion between Bluegrass, post rock, folk and pop. Their unique vocal harmonies soar above percussive cello, accompanied by sweet and expressive mandolin and guitar. With the release of their self titled debut album, they received high praise, with Alan Morrison of The Herald writing: When Kelly and Coe sing together, their harmonies squeeze the heart.outstanding. They garnered extensive radio air play and many fans including Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) who admired their Really original sound.. In 2015 they were nominated as Best Acoustic Act in the Scottish Alternative Awards and set off on their first European tour including visits to Germany, The Netherlands and Denmark. They continued touring extensively last year, appearing at the Folk Alliance International in Kansas City and completing a successful tour of Canada. They are currently focusing on putting the finishing touches to material for their second album, with plans to record later in the year. This is a fantastic opportunity to see this hugely talented and outstanding duo, in the beautiful surroundings of Lodge at Lochside at Lintrathen near Kirriemuir. Non-alcoholic refreshments are available to purchase (BYOB if you prefer an alcoholic beverage!) and ticket prices include Stovies which will be served during the interval. Overnight packages are also available, to find out more about this offer, please contact the Lodge at Lochside direct.
