Guys & Dolls
This musical production is based on Damon Runyon's short story "The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown," Guys and Dolls revolves around Nathan Detroit, the organizer of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York, who bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can't make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. The next girl he sees happens to be Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart Salvation Army-type reformer, and the stage is set for an hilarious evening of complications.
ToDAY Productions was founded in 1986 by a group of people led by then Toledo Youth Minister Michelle (Genchi) Mello. The Group was founded to provide an opportunity for young people to grow by gaining a better understanding of themselves, each other and God. The Vehicle chosen for this journey was Musical Theatre. The Company presented shows for six years until taking a break in 1991 for restructuring. In 1995, ToDAY was revived by a group of alummni and it's ministry has continued to grow. The group now operates as a non profit organization under a Board of Directors and ministers to youth from all over the Metro Toledo Area. The Youth are from over 12 area high schools and more that fifteen different churches of different faiths.
