The Shindig: a Harvest's End Celebration
The Shindig is our way of celebrating the fall harvest and all the hard work that goes into California's agriculture. Nevada City has many people whom grow their own food and also share it with the locals through the Farmer's Market in town on weekends and many other ways. We have a great community, so let us celebrate the great Autumn season. We have Local Rap group 2HK starting things off about 9:30pm Followed by a talented rapper coming up from SLO, goes by Blaze. Following the rap is fantastic Ska-punk reggae band Skunk Funk Soundsytem, these guys came up and played at our INpulse an Ecstatic Gathering show in June and tore it up, they're coming up from Vallejo Ca. Following them is local ska reggae blues band RAT STOMP, they play many shows locally and have spread themselves through to Davis and Sacramento, always givin' over a hundred percent they put on a hell of a show. Closing out the night is Headlining band Wooster from Santa Cruz, two of their members are from Nevada City so let's welcome them and the rest of Wooster back to their home town and bring a crowd. Come on down and let's celebrate with The Shindig!
