A NIGHT AMONG THE STARS: A Benefit for New York Deaf Theatre
Join us for our annual New York Deaf Theatre Benefit on Friday, June 2nd from 7-11pm which promises to be our best one yet! This year's theme: A NIGHT AMONG THE STARS, encourages guests to indulge in the glamour of old New York and Broadway, with an evening of cocktails, appetizers and dancing.
This year we are excited to introduce two ticket options for our supporters:
-General admission tickets are $75 ($100 at the door) from 7-11pm, featuring an Open Bar, Specialty Cocktails, Appetizers and Silent Auction.
-VIP admission tickets are $125 ($150 at the door), this includes an extra exclusive VIP only hour of celebration from 6-7pm and entitles you to our special NYDT VIP Gift Bag (Minimum Value $50)
All proceeds from the annual benefit go towards our upcoming NYDT 2017-18 Theatrical season. This year's event is graciously sponsored by the SignTalk Foundation as our Major Sponsor, and Sign Language Resources and ASL Interpreter Referral Service as our Generous Sponsors. We are honored that they are recognizing the importance of our continued efforts to create theatre that gives more opportunities for Deaf artists and provides a cultural home for the Deaf community to see their own lives and experiences reflected on stage.

Is there a dress code?
We encourage cocktail attire!
What's included in the general admission ticket price?
4 hours of open-bar instead of our standard three hours!
Hand passed appetizers (please contact us if you have vegan, GF, allergy needs so we can accommodate you!)

What's included in the VIP ticket price?
VIP experience is intended for those willing to be significant supporters of NYDT. With this ticket you will have all the perks of general admission, with a private pre-hour experience, sponsored by Sign Language Resources. The experience includes the following:
Unique performance with special guest--details to follow!
Specialty cocktail exclusively served to our VIPs all evening
Tasty pre-event appetizer
VIP Gift Bag
Is my ticket tax deductible?
Your ticket is NOT tax deductible due to the fact that you are getting something in exchange for the price. However, if you donate anything on top of your ticket price (e.g make a $5 donation or click to join Donor Circle) that IS tax deductible.

If I buy something from the Silent Auction, is that tax deductible?
If you bid higher than the retail value of the item, and win, then the difference IS tax deductible.
For example, if show tickets are listed at $100 retail value and you win with a bid of $150, then $50 can be written off on your taxes!
What's a Mystery Star?
You'll have to show up to find out! ;) Mystery Stars are available for $20, so bring your cash and be surprised.
How can I pay for Silent Auction and Mystery Star items?
You can use cash, credit or check! We accept all major credit cards.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
Absolutely. This venue is ground level with a handicap accessible bathroom as well.
I have allergy/dietary concerns, can I have specially made appetizers?
Although we cannot create an entire separate menu of hand-passed appetizers, we are willing to have our caterer make something that fits your needs. Please contact Jamie directly: jamie@newyorkdeaftheatre.org
Are you in need of volunteers?
NYDT is ever grateful for ALL of our committed volunteers! At the moment, we are not looking for volunteers for the fundraiser, but you are welcome to join our volunteer list on our website.
