"One of the most poignant voices currently floating about Ayla Nereo is an otherworldly artist who shares the fruits of her soul."
The Huffington Post

"Ayla's relationship with the earth is imprinted in her music expansive and intriguing."
Billboard

Ayla Nereo's voice hits straight to the heart. With an array of loop-pedals by her side, she builds layer upon layer of vocal melodies into fierce, sweeping harmonies and weaves syncopated threads of guitar, kalimba, piano, and percussion into each live performance.

Raised on opera, 60s folk, and psychedelic rock, Ayla's music touches both the timeless and modern; where prayerful circle songs, mantra, and roots music meet ancient beats and folktronica.

Crafting an immersive soundscape we can dive into, Ayla's concerts and workshops in song are each their own inspired journey; an enchanting and poignant experience that holds you by the heart and doesn't let go.

Her lucid storytelling and lyrical imagery are water for the thirsty soul.

Ayla has graced the stage and collaborated with Rising Appalachia, Elephant Revival, Edward Sharp and The Magnetic Zeroes, Mr Lif, Dirtwire and more. A prolific songwriter, Ayla has produced nine consecutive albums, two with her collaborative partner, The Polish Ambassador in Wildlight.

Workshop info:
FINDING VOICE, RECEIVING SONG

A workshop in song that is as ever-growing as a voice, led by song weaver and performer Ayla Nereo. An opportunity for us to offer our sound and song into the world and feed the life that breathes us each moment.

Through trusting our ability to listen and create sound, we learn to trust our own intuition and power to be creators of our lives. Each time we sing, we find new edges, and by leaning into them we can see who we are becoming. We sing for the joy of it. And we sing for the need of it, to make offerings of sound that can ripple out and make beauty and good for this planet.

Ayla will facilitate group singing to lead us into a deeper understanding of how to receive and create music, find words and shape lyrics, follow melodies into whole songs, and trust ourselves as we do so.
