Goal: To provide resources, support and to expand the services provided by Rythers Aspiring Youth and Delphi Young Adults programs. Since 2004 these programs have served kids and adults who are on the autism spectrum, who have learning disabilities or who are just perplexed, frustrated or withdrawn from common social settings. Aspiring Youth and Dephi Young Adults are both part of Ryther, a 501(C)3 non profit organization founded in 1885 (before the founding of Washington State). PEAK also seeks to create connections between parents so they can feel less isolated and alone.
Expanding the Reach of Aspiring Youth and Delphi Young Adults: New Programs: Running clubs, video production groups and other new activities that will help our clients gain social confidence and explore life-long enrichment activities. Scholarships: When we are able to include more kids it makes our programs richer and more connected to the community. Delphi Commons: We are pursuing a new co-op housing model that will help our young adults gain independence within a supportive community. Delphi Workspace: We give young adults the opportunity to work on meaningful group internship projects, helping strengthen their entry into long-term employment.
