Manuel Gutierrez - Flamenco Performance
Jasmín la Carís presents Manuel Gutierrez featuring Cerro Negro. Manuel Gutierrez will perform original Flamenco Dance live in concert at Liquid Fetish Art Gallery, 1416 Broadway in Fresno, California, Saturday evening, December 8th at 8pm. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
Born in Montpellier, France, Manuel Gutierrez began to study Flamenco in Córdoba, Spain. He went on to train with Flamenco masters Jose Galvan, Lita Peiro, Javier Latorre, and Joaquin Grilo. At the age 8, he won his first Flamenco dance award.
A charismatic dancer, Manuel began dancing professionally in the best Spanish tablaos including Casa Patas, Palacio del Flamenco and Cordobes. He continues to tour with legendary artists such as Juan Carmona, Chispa Negra, Chicuelo, and Duquende. He currently is nominated for the coveted Isadora Duncan award for his work with Juncal Street and dancer Fanny Ara. Joining Manuel Gutierrez is Cerro Negro. Known for their spontaneous and passionate Flamenco, Cerro Negro has toured the United States opening for legendary artists like Eddie Palmieri, Arturo Sandoval, Poncho Sanchez, Strunz & Farah and Spyro Gyra.
