Seattle Theatresports 2013
Come see what has been making Seattle laugh for 30 years.

Theatresports is hilarious. Relying on years of experience, wicked-sharp wit and lightning-fast reflexes, two teams of veteran actors standoff against each other, in a fiercely competitive improv match. Using our audience suggestions to create scenes and situations, each team must create totally improvised sketches immediately. The best ideas are awarded prizes by the judges at the end of the show. After each scene a panel of judges (sometimes guest celebrities) score each team based on narrative, technical improve and general entertainment. The winning team returns the next week to meet a new challenger.

Teams of improvisers create scenes based entirely on audience suggestions, and are scored by a panel of judges.

The Judges panel includes a Narrative Judge, who scores the story, a Technical Judge, who scores the game and an Entertainment Judge, who scores the entertainment value.  Please remember that the scores are nothing more than three people's opinions, so feel free to BOO or HISS if you disagree.

The Horn is honked by a Judge when they feel the scene is going nowhere fast or the team has missed the ending.

Scoring is based on a 1-to-5 point system: A "1" means in the Judges' opinion the team at least got on stage, while a "5" is given to a fabulous, brilliant, incredible scene.  A "0" is given if the horn is honked.  Once again, it's only their opinions...and what do they know?

When giving a suggestion, please remember the more mundane your suggestion, the better!  If the suggestion itself is a funny joke, then the improvisers don't have anywhere to go.  Each night the two most valuable suggestions will each win a prize.
