TIME TO BURN
Red Bird Theatre presents TIME TO BURN, by Charles L. Mee, Jr., directed by Genevieve Bennett.
Hostility towards immigrants, violence towards people of color and transgender people, the refugee crisis, the disenfranchisement of so many Americans is front page news. The characters of TIME TO BURN put faces on the issues, and make the political personal.
TIME TO BURN examines the lives of a group of marginalized people living in an abandoned factory - refugees forced to live out their private lives amongst strangers. They collide, connect, sing, dance and reveal their hopes and dreams for a future that may never arrive.
Performed by a cast of Twin Cities favorites, in multiple languages and dialects, TIME TO BURN turns a compassionate and ferocious lens on issues plaguing our country today.
