The glorious voices of the Oregon Repertory Singers will fill your heart and raise your spirits as we celebrate the holidays with our traditional favorite, the Glory of Christmas!
Glory of Christmas has become a traditional favorite, and for good reason: there is an endless supply of holiday music written that belongs in a concert featuring the joy of the holidays in the magnificent First United Methodist Church.
This year's Glory of Christmas focuses on roses and includes Portland's Morten Lauridsen's rapturous Chanson des Roses written for our City of Roses, and features several settings of Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming.
We sill also perform a set of carols set in the vocal jazz style (think Rosemary Clooney singing White Christmas in concert), music from Africa and the spectacular arrangement of Noel by ORS accompanist, Naomi LaViolette.
And our concert wouldn't be complete without it, so yes, we are performing Biebl's Ave Maria!
