Leif Erickson Day Tasting

Learn about the five keystones of Highland Park while enjoying five expressions of their whisky which are made today with the same enduring belief and integrity, to the same exacting standards, as it has been since 1798.
You will be greeted with a cocktail while you enjoy the thoughtfully selected and prepared morsels and nibbles prior to adjourning to the Snug for tasting.
There are two seatings for this event. The first at 6:10pm and the second at 8pm. Cask Masters $38 & General Public $45
Our host for the evening will be whisky professional Jamie Buckman. She has spent her adulthood surrounded by alcohol. But not in the way one may think! For her, it became a profession. She started working in neighborhood and volume bars in her early 20s. This soon became a passion for the resurgence of the craft cocktail scene and thus led to bartending at and managing many of the cocktail bars around Seattle and Bellevue. But that wasn't enough. She has travelled around the world learning about distillation in other countries and cultures, visiting Kentucky, Oaxaca, Scotland and many others. She started a non-profit group with her business partner in Seattle called Women Who Love Whiskey which they still run today. Then she started working at Seattle's very own Westland Single Malt Distillery. Recently, she has been elected as Secretary for the Washington State Bartender's Guild. And now, she has the upmost privilege of working for and representing Edrington, a Glasgow based company who owns The Macallan and Highland Park Single Malt Scotches.
