Art Salon: Exploring the Collage City
This month, Feral Factory Ltd.'s Art Salon will host photographers Shana Cordon and Armando Martinez. Our exhibition of their work includes a display of images which are about the urban experience, about real life in real cities. Despite the best efforts of planners, cities remain places which evolve organically, which shelter a multiplicity of ideals, and which never quite develop as predicted. Let's talk about what this means, theoretically and practically, as we move into an urban future.
Our salons are an opportunity to enjoy art in an intimate setting, alongside talks and discussions by the artists, historians, theorists, and fellow citizens. They're learning opportunities, but also chances for all attendees to share their ideas, thoughts, and experiences. Most importantly, we holds our salons to talk about the art, and art's importance in the world today.
*Equal Opportunity Statement* All are welcome at our gatherings, but every Feral Factory event is a safe zone for race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. No jerks, though. Don't be a jerk. Jerks are right out.
