The Old-Fashioned Tuesdays Strike Back
On October 27th, 2012, The Dance Palace Church Space will again be converted into the 'Velvet Pelican Lounge', as the Old-Fashioned Tuesdays plan a reprisal of cosmic proportions.
Weeks ago, a singing telegraph message arrived from one Lothario Burton, sent from a remote futuristic space bubble lounge located on the Farallon Islands. Radio Carbon Dating suggests the message is actually from October 3rd, 1962. The telegraph suggests that the 'Tuesdays' will indeed be traveling 50 years, or one complete half-century, into the future so as to provide a raging cosmic themed costume/dance party at the Dance Palace Church Space on October 27th, 2012.
Truth of the 'FestivOccasion' has been confirmed by Point Reyes resident & owner of the band, Heracles Iglesias, who was recently quoted in a rambling 'press release' given outside of Toby's Feed barn last Tuesday. Iglesias stated, " The Old-Fashioned Tuesdays will be bringing their magical talents to the Velvet Pelican Lounge (Dance Palace Church Space) at 7 pm on October 27th, 2012. So supple."
"Lothario will be sending his cast of eleven archetypal 'Deep Lounge' musicians 50 years into the future, or half of one complete century, so as to provide their brilliant Bossa nova jams and space-age lounge cuts of the rhythm & the blues.. It is sure to be the 'Bee's Pajamas.' "
Audience members are encouraged to arrive in costume with pseudonym in mind at 7 pm sharp on Saturday, October 27th. The themes of the evening will be the Cosmos, the 1960s, Science fiction, Space Age,& Nautical Confusion. A costume contest will be held, and blue milk will be served.
