Women on Air 30th Anniversary Concert with Catie Curtis and Maia Sharp
Since its inception in 1987, Women On Air has been and continues to be a platform to support, promote and illuminate women's voices. The 'mostly music' format - designed and produced by Susan Lachmann of Jonesborough, Tennessee - also features interviews with local, regional, national and international artists and professionals specializing in art, education and community development. Join WOA in celebrating her 30th Anniversary with a variety of workshops, concerts and novelty events throughout 2017.
Fun for fundraising events support the Women On Air archives project to create audio library and print interviews, including Lily Tomlin, Ysaye Barnwell, Rhiannon, Emmy Lou Harris, Ruthie Foster, Ani DiFranco, Melissa Etheridge, Sarah Bettens, Anne Lamont, Lee Smith, Sheila Weller, many more powerful, potent women.

These two fabulous women artists will be performing in rare duo form at The Down Home, with its nationally recognized "listening room" in Johnson City, Tennessee.
About the artists:
Dubbed a "folk rock goddess" by the New York Times, Catie Curtis's list of accomplishments spans 14 albums, songs featured on TV shows Greys Anatomy, Dawsons Creek, and Felicity; and movies like Finding Graceland and A Slipping Down Life. Maia Sharp is a mysical dynamo in her industry, known for her solo works as well as colloborative works in the roles of writer and producer. Her songs recorded by The Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood, Keb Mo, Cher, Edwin McCain, David Wilcox, Art Garfunkel, Lizz Wright, Paul Carrack, Lisa Loeb and many more. She produced Edwin McCain's last album Mercy Bound (429 Records) and produced two songs for Art Garfunkel's last album.
