Off the Risers Concert
Spirit of the Sound Choir presents a full length concert event with live music, choreography and dancers at Edmonds Community College's Black Box Theater.
The program gets this 3-year-old adult mixed choir 'off the choir risers' in a program featuring music by Aaron Copeland, Katy Perry and original compositions and arrangements by the group's conductor Eric O'del, with additional professional dancers and choreography by Ray Houle (Men in Dance Festival Co-Founder) and Sheri Lewis (director of Westlake Dance Center).
Ranging from a choir clowning piece to a dream-like dance setting of a text from the Tao Te Ching, from dancing Bollywood style to "Jai Ho" (closing song from the film "Slumdog Millioniare"), to the lush romanticism of Morten Lauridsen's choral masterpiece "Sure On This Shining Night," the widely varied program is sure to entertain and inspire.
With gorgeous visuals and lighting, this unique program of music and dance is just the sort of one-of-a-kind event audiences have come to expect from the producers of Seattle's Outrageous Video Event.
