Organized by Ndakinna Education Center and hosted by Caffe Lena, STAND FOR THE ROCK features an afternoon of Native American music and storytelling to raise funds for Sacred Stone Camp, the encampment of Standing Rock Lakota Water Protectors opposing the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Though the ongoing actions at Standing Rock have largely disappeared from the headlines, the clashes between law enforcement and water protectors continues. As long as the rivers are threatened, the Sacred Stone prayer camp remains in place to safeguard the future of our children and planet. Funds raised today will help defray the cost of practical winter camping necessities such as firewood, fuel, snow tires, batteries and wheelbarrows.

Native American Music and storytelling by The Akwesasne Women Singers, Kay Ionataiewas Olan, Joseph and Jesse Bruchac, Roy Hurd and others will enable our local community to help the protectors stand fast through the harsh winter season. Mohawk elder Tom Porter, Sakokwenionkwas, will provide a traditional opening and closing to the program.

100% of your ticket purchase will be donated to https://www.gofundme.com/sacredstonecamp  If you cannot join us this afternoon, please consider making a donation directly.
