Miss Curvy UK Merseyside Heat
Celebrating real women and their natural shape.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a magical place where women liked their bodies whatever size or shape they were? A place they could be admired and recognised for their shapely curves and natural gifts. Well now that place is here. Miss Curvy UK have launched their national search for women who are proud of their curves and are not afraid to show them. From Lancashire to London, Penzance to Pitlochry these gala events will give real women the chance to show off their style and ultimately the chance to be crowned Miss Curvy UK.
Whist this innovative competition is not targeting models, there has been significant interest from professional models throughout the UK that are clamouring to get involved.
Joanne Saunders the brains and the beauty behind Miss Curvy UK said "We are really looking for girls and women who are proud and confident with their shape. We are not looking for skinny waifs, but women who are at least a size 10, the curvier the better! Miss Curvy girls look healthy, confident and demonstrate style and poise in a collection of different designs and outfits"
Women of all ages from 18 to 55 can apply for one of four categories.
Miss Curvy promotes a healthy attitude to body image and is receiving national and international media interest. Vogue Italy, one of the few mainstream magazines to have a plus size section ran a feature earlier this year and are tracking Miss Curvy with keen interest.
With regional heats all over the UK and a celebrity sprinkled London final, this competition is set to become an annual high class event with continuing international media exposure and very positive national press reviews.
Miss Curvy UK winners will receive a package of prizes including personal coaching & support in body image and modelling presentation. A prospective modelling contract & portfolio, cash gifts, hair & beauty treatments and of course instant celebrity status with the title of Miss Curvy UK 2012
