Holds Second Annual Wine Walk Event
The Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce will host the second Annual "Wine Walk" during the Victorian Christmas Celebration, December 7 and 8. The event will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday December 8. It's a perfect opportunity to shop for the holidays and experience an enjoyable event at the same time!
This year three additional wineries, for a total of nine, will join the event to offering wine tastings and have wine available for sale in retail businesses on Main Street. Participants can shop our downtown stores as they enjoy the event. The event begins at Hoak Insurance Services on Main Street, where participants will register and receive a wristband indicating payment and event materials. Those attending the event will also have an opportunity to win a gift basket from donated by each of the wineries, which will be displayed at Coffee Cakes on Pickering Street.
This year C.S.A. & Company, Dan Smith's Candies, DeMans, Finders Keepers, Galbraith's Furniture, The Jefferson County History Center, Means-Lauf Super Drug, Randy's Electronics, and The Masters Touch Salon and Spa and will host wineries. Allegheny Wine Cellars, Deer Creek Winery, Elk Mountain Winery, Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Foxburg Wine Cellars, Pinecreek Underground Winery, Red Bandana Winery, Star Hill Winery and Wapiti Ridge Wine Cellars will bring their wines to the event. The event is sponsored by S&T Trust.
"This event was a great success last year", said Brookville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Melanie Darrin. "People really enjoyed it and were already looking forward to this year's event. We are very pleased to continue it during the Victorian Christmas Celebration this year."
A limited number of tickets will be sold. Advance tickets at a $15 contribution each go on sale on October 15 and will be available at the Brookville Chamber office, Means-Lauf Super Drug and the Rebecca M. Arthurs Memorial Library. Tickets may be purchased for $20 contribution the day of the event.
