"Great Musical Moments in Movie History"
When: January 18 and 25, 2017 Time: 10:00am-12:00pm Where: Community and Cultural Center 17000 Monterey Road
Cost: $20 per participant
This class will cover the great songs, dance numbers and background music for films of the sound era beginning with "The Jazz Singer" in 1927, and continuing to present-day films.
We will view film clips of selected great movies and hear commentary by the instructor to enhance our knowledge and interest in these films. Join us to venture back to some of thee great musical moments that movies have offered us over the years.
The Presenter: Roger Johnson previously presented "Food and Film," "Martin Scorcese on American Film" and "Citizen Kane" to our South County Lifelong Learning program. he also has taught film classes for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at San Jose State University.
