The clinic is open beginner to advanced skaters 18 years or older. Coaches are experienced in training a wide range of skills and techniques for all levels.

Sunday 9:00AM-10:00AM Strength Training & Warm Up 10:00AM-11:00AM Bad Ass Backwards Skating 11:00AM-12:00PM Second Surge 12:00PM-1:30PM Break 1:30PM-3:00PM Scrimmage 3:00PM-3:30PM Cool Down & Stretch Session Descriptions Bad Ass Backwards Skating - This session will go over backwards skating form, agility in all directions and lateral movement while skating backwards. Blocking like a Boss - The session will start with blocking form and using strength over momentum to block smarter. It will also focus on lateral movement and footwork for blocking, slow blocking and backwards blocking. Fancy Footwork & Dexterity - This session will work on solid transitioning, juking and the use of toes stop during game play. In Sync Skating - This session will cover the foundations of skating form. It will also focus on starts and efficient skating style. In the Beginning - This session will focus on jam start strategies and blocker formations within the early seconds of a jam from the pivot and jammer lines. Powerful Power Jams - This session will go over strategies to be able to minimize the bleed in a negative power jam situation. It will end with passive and active positive power jam strategies. Second Surge - This session will focus on minimizing the number of points the opposing team gains on the second pass. It will go over utilizing blockers positioning and timing of the jam call off. Stop on a Dime - This session will focus on successful plow and hockey stops. It will cover checking your speed and going from full speed to zero. Successfully Pushy - This session will cover jammers and blockers in a goat situation pushing walls forward and doing so cleanly. The Great Wall - This session will cover wall formation and wall protection. Skaters will learn ways to minimize opponent's progression on the track as one unit. Other details Parking: Cell Block parking is very limited. Carpooling recommended. Please park in front of the warehouse or along the left (east) side of the building only. No parking across the street or in front of any of the residential homes. If parking in front is full, please park at the light rail station at the northeast end of Kathleen Avenue.

Weather/Water: Cell Block gets hot! There are several fans, but no AC. Please bring plenty of water.
Refreshments: SCR will have water, sports drinks and healthy snacks for sale during clinic hours.
