a nonstop cross-fire of crackling language, serious issues of life and art expressed in outbursts that sound like Don Rickles with a degree from the Sorbonne. Reza is a fiendishly clever writer. ART sounds like a marriage of Molière and Woody Allen -Newsweek.
Anyone looking for a play that is funny, sophisticated, stylish, stimulating and moving should go to ART. -Independent (London).
Presented as a staged reading in two unique, intimate venues, 'ART' is a funny and intelligent play that has been performed throughout the world. Directed by Anet Carlin, the show is about old-fashioned friendship challenged by a very expensive piece of ART that threatens to tear them apart.
One performance, held on November 5, will be at Bru Coffeeshop in Atascadero, where the audience can purchase coffee, wine or food from the menu to enjoy while watching the show. Two additional performances, held on November 6 & 7, will be held in the main gallery at Studios on the Park in Paso Robles. With the stage and audience set amongst the art, the experience will be rich with context. Wine and snacks will be available to purchase.
All shows start at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 each. Please be aware the show includes strong language.
