BLANKENSHIP CABARET THEATRE AT ALEXANDRIA
The Blankenship Ballet Company has evolved its wildly successful Cuban Ballet & Dance series by creating the new Blankenship Cabaret Theatre, which premiered on March 31st 2012 to a "standing room only" audience.
Based upon the positive audience response as well as the overwhelming demand for tickets, Blankenship Cabaret Theatre returns for two (2) performances: the first on August 3rd 2012 and the second on August 4th 2012. Seating shall be limited to three hundred fifty (350) guests for each performance.
Blankenship Cabaret Theatre invites you to an extraordinary theatre experience at Blankenship Ballet's beautiful and eclectic Moulin Rouge-inspired Fine Arts Cabaret in Blankenship Ballet's Grand Ballroom at the Fabled Alexandria Hotel located on 'gallery row' in the 'historic core' of downtown Los Angeles.
Celebrate on the evenings of August 3rd & August 4th 2012 along with luminous 'world class' performers, artists, actors, dancers and musicians performing Cabaret Theatre uniquely blended from Opera, Ballet, World Dance & Music "up close and personal" in a grand arts venue in an "in-the-round" exotic and sensual Cabaret Theatre performance where the performing artists are "close enough to touch".

BRAVO 'TOP CHEF' ILAN HALL of "The Gorbals" will offer specially created gourmet cuisine and delicacies as well as a full bar.

SOME BACKGROUND
The Blankenship Ballet Company is continuing its goal of revitalizing eclectic and historic buildings by transforming them into glorious arts venues in which "world class" performing artists amplify the exhibition of the arts by seeking to eliminate what the late Richard Wagner, composer of Die Walkure, labeled the "Mystic Gulf" between the audience and the dancers.
Such an artistic goal has been accomplished to the delight of thousands of spectators who have been inspired by Blankenship Ballet's presentation of World Class Dancers performing Classical Ballet and Cuban Ballet and other forms of dance in eclectic intimate venues that enable the audience to connect and feel the powerful evocative energy of the live performing arts.

ABOUT THE VENUE: THE ALEXANDRIA HOTEL
The Alexandria Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, California, which in its heyday from 1911 to 1922, was the scene of speeches by U.S. Presidents William Howard Taft and Woodrow Wilson and Gen. John J. Pershing. Alexandria was the place where Paul Whiteman, later known as the "Jazz King," got his start as a bandleader in 1919, where Rudolph Valentino danced with movie starlets and where Hollywood held its most significant balls during the early days of the motion picture business.
In 2005, the Los Angeles Times described the Alexandria:
"It was the film industry's first home in the early 1900s, a place where dozens of studios maintained offices, where Charlie Chaplin and friends formed United Artists, where the lobby bustled with so many deal makers that a Persian rug there was deemed the 'million-dollar carpet.'"
