Evening Concert: The Mississippi Chorus Concert - Messiah by George Frideric Handel
The 2016-17 season of The Mississippi Chorus starts with the famous and possibly the most performed oratorio, Messiah by George Frideric Handel which will be performed December 17, 2016 at St. Andrews Episcopal Cathedral, 305 Capitol Street, Jackson, with a 3:00 pm matinee and 7:30 pm full concert. All under the baton of the newly appointed artistic director, Dr. Mark Nabholz. Messiah is such a pillar of the choral cannon, and it was so foundational in the history of The Mississippi Chorus that it was an obvious choice to launch this season, said Nabholz. I cant wait to get started. Even the process of rehearsing the piece is a profound experience!"
