Elmhurst World Music Series Main Concert - OLÉ! The Musical Influence of Spain

This main concert of the World Music Series of Elmhurst College features the world-wide impact of the music of Spain in the performance of works by Piazzolla (Argentina), Villa-Lobos (Brazil), Marquez (Mexico), Padilla (Spain), Boccherini (Italy), and Vivaldi (Italy). Critically acclaimed violinist Dmitri Pogorelov headlines the program in a performance of "Otono Porteno," Piazzolla's version of "Autumn" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Also, the Elmhurst Philharmonic will be joined by members of the Kontras Quartet, the Elmhurst Guitar Quartet, the Elmhurst College Dancers, and Maine East High School Symphonic Strings.
