Sing a New Song
ORIANA's last concert of the season highlights new Canadian choral music for women. The choir will première four brand-new works created especially for them, including the winner of ORIANAs 2016-17 Choral Composition Competition. The choir is also commissioning Peter Togni, composer-in-residence Matthew Emery, and honorary patron Ruth Watson Henderson to write new works to be premièred at this concert. The program will be rounded out by other Canadian works for womens choir, many of which were commissioned by ORIANA. Again ORIANA will be pushing the boundaries and expanding the repertoire of music for women's voices.
