Journey Around the Sun
ORIANA presents two major choral works from the twentieth and eighteenth centuries. Veljo Tormis is a world-renowned Estonian composer who draws on local folk songs as inspiration for his many choral works. Looduspildid has four movements based on the four seasons, each containing several lyrical miniatures. The second half of the concert comprises Stabat Mater, a well-loved work by Giovanni Pergolesi.
