The Heliconian Club's Literary Lecture Series is presenting a special evening with author Donna Morrissey, on Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 19 Trinity Square. Donna Morrissey will talk about her latest novel, The Fortunate Brother, a powerful tale of a family in a remote out-port in Newfoundland, reeling from the tragic death of a son, while confronting a mysterious murder on their doorstep. Once again, Morrissey has fashioned a breathtaking masterpiece, taut with suspense and infused with compassion. Her previous best selling novels are Kits Law, Downhill Chance, Sylvanus Now, What They Wanted, and The Deception of Livvy Higgs. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the lecture will begin at 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be served and there will be a cash bar. Advance tickets can be purchased here. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the evening of the lecture (subject to availability). Cash only.
This evening is presented by the Heliconian Club (35 Hazelton Avenue) with the support of Penguin Random House and Ben McNally Books. Photo Credit: Brigette Morrissey.
