The Seattle Poke Contest
Poke (po-KEH) is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine. Poke is Hawaiis king of food, its soul food and its eaten everywhere - from potlucks to elegant get-togethers. It is on the menu of five star dining rooms, plate lunch stands, sushi, izakaya restaurants, and even food trucks. Its popularity is beyond the islands and is now a international phenomenon!
