SOLO SUNDAYS 7/10/16 - Tina D'Elia, Mark McGoldrick, Ronen Sberlo, Maureen Langan

"OverLooked Latin@s"

While Angel Torres and Carla Garcia, two Puerto Rican queer Latinas, pitch their controversial TV pilot to NBC producer Bill Moskowitz on the racket ball court things feel tense.  But when Bill hears that a Rita Hayworth-like star can sell it; Angel and Carla are in. They now have less than 24 hours to make it happen and revisit the locked box from the past..

"The Codependent's Guide to Falling in Love"

Ronen finds himself in a dark room, surrounded by strangers, having just swallowed a cup full of a potent psychedelic brew. A Shaman in a feathered head dress begins to sing. As the world around him starts to swirl, he flashes back to what brought him here in the first place. Confronting his past mistakes, and taking extreme measures to facilitate healing, he is about to face demons that may be more than he bargained for.

"The Golden Hammer"

The river bends are serpentine, regular, not without their tricks. For the same reason a child on the end of the line in crack-the-whip flies sideways, so too moves the current fastest on the outside. As that fast water races around it undercuts the outer bank, causes trees to topple in the water, creates the biggest dangers of this trip, what George calls, keepers and sweepers. Sweepers are trees fallen across the water that'll knock you out of the boat; keepers are trees fallen down into the water that'll keep you, held down by the current, held down and drowned and, no shit, up here they may never find your body.

"Daughter of a Garbage Man"

Maureen was a teenager when her dad came home from work and announced that he spoke with his colored friend Rufus. She explained that we don't use the term colored anymore. "Ah, I was just gonna tell you a funny story but you took the good out of it." That was 30 years ago. Today? Maureen's dad still uses the term colored. Whats left to say at this point?
