Dead River Derby Roller Derby Boot Camp

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the fastest internationally growing women's sport? Here is your chance! Dead River Derby is hosting a fun afternoon of derby skills and info for the brand new skater (lovingly referred to as Fresh Meat).

Dead River Derby is bringing back the basics in this mini-skate camp focusing on new people interested in trying roller derby. You will strap on protective gear and take some skates for a spin while learning more about the sport.
Join Dead River Derby on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 10am- 1 pm at Lakeview Arena for this one-day camp to enjoy your opportunity in learning about the fresh meat process, discovering and learning minimum skating skills, discussing time and cost commitment of derby and the basics of game play, as well as meeting a variety of skaters in the Dead River Derby League. Appropriate gear and equipment will be supplied by Dead River Derby members.

***MUST PURCHASE your own mouth guard. Hockey Central in Lakeview Arena is a reputable source for Michigan-made Sisu mouthguards (recommended for derby).***
