1st Annual Africatown International Creative Arts & Culture Expo
Come experience beautiful African and African American art, culture, food and music to celebrate the launch of Africatown Internationals Global Classroom Initiative.
For the first time EVER, you have a chance to support a project that will build a bridge between youth that come to Africatown Center with youth in Gambia. We're having a live and silent auction of beautiful African art pieces, African music & delicious appetizers!
COST:
$15 for individuals $25 for two tickets
WHAT:
African art auction featuring works created by local artists and artists from West Africa. Proceeds support Africatown Internationals educational and enrichment programs for kids in Seattle and Gambia.

WHO: You! Your friends, family, art-lovers, aficionados of African Culture, and anyone who wants to help promote cross cultural exchange between people of African descent.
WHY:
In early Spring, we were all shaken by an act of vandalism and burglary at the headquarters of Africatown Center for Education and Innovation which is where Africatown International operates in Rainier Valley. We lost a lot of resources, and families had their sense of safety shaken.
This auction and official launch of Africatown International is your chance to restore the community strength our kids need to grow and advance.
Our mostly volunteer-based program serves African American and African immigrant students with after-school enrichment programs. Youth in our programs are doing amazing things. Learning to code, create art, tell visual stories, learn how to start their own businesses, make presentations and so much more.
