Food Link partners with 12 local grocery and prepared food stores to bring high-quality fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, bread and prepared foods to 30 social service agencies including afterschool programs, programs for at-risk youth, low income housing facilities, homeless shelters, food pantries, and senior centers.
We've recently purchased a brand new cargo van and hired Brittany Peats - our Operations Director. With this growth comes the increased need for fundraising to help us continue to impact our community.
The second annual Food Link BBQ Benefit will be held on Sunday, June 12. Enjoy all-you-can-eat Hullabaloo BBQ, prepared by pitmaster (and Food Link board member) Ivan! There will be lawn games and a silent auction.
The menu will include pulled pork, pulled chicken, sausages, salmon all the fix-ins and "rescued" desserts. There will vegetarian options such as homemade baba ganoush (smoked eggplant) and smoked vegetable quinoa salad. Beer, wine and soft drinks are included.
