This is the spring conference of the Connecticut Social Work Oncology Group. These conferences are held twice a year on pertinent topics for oncology social workers or other health care professionals working with oncology patients. This conference will focus on palliative care in oncology and the unique role of social work.
The presenter will be Colleen Mulkerin, MSW, LCSW.
Colleen is the Director of Palliative Care Consult Service and Social Work and Spiritual Care Department at Hartford Hospital

Cover ways social workers meet needs of palliative care patients and families
Discuss approaches to describing value to integrate palliative care into care of all oncology patients and
Identify interventions to contribute to team health from a social work perspective.
